I think that your focus on leadership, women, and GenY is something to be very proud of. Being a 21 year old female in the workforce today, I face so many challenges. There is nothing that I love more than gaining insight from women like yourself and learning from all the advice you give. One day I hope to use my experiences and the knowledge that I gain to help others in similar situations through blogging and consulting. So simply, I just wanted to say thank you. Your work is very meaningful.

I really liked your article in Forbes! Hopefully, women will eventually get a fair shake in the media. I also think that women have to make more of an effort in telling their own story, even if it means hiring a PR agency, writing articles, etc. I think that a lot of women in the workplace don't do a good job of marketing themselves internally or externally until it is too late. Some press will be good, some will be bad - how you manage it makes a difference.

I studied with Michael Singer in my Ph.D. program at Florida Atlantic University. He is one of my favorite people in the world. I have learned so much from him about the public realm and about managing interdisciplinary teams.

regarding your question (is it a question ?) about leadership. . . . maybe we should think seriously about not rushing to create "leaders", since leaders have a habit of getting carried away by their power, even when they started out with the best of intentions. Is there a future for a less heirarchical society? best wishes Zayda
